Panache is the result of Zana coming into heat when we had given up on her. She was a few months late, that’s all. No worries about fly strike or heat exhaustion with Pan as it was pouring rain when he was delivered, and the weather will be staying cooler. I was watching Zana in labour on the cow cam and when her bag broke I saw one hoof, and wouldn’t you know it it was upside down. To the chute went Zana and Panache made his entrance to the world backend first. Luckily he’s a little guy and Zana has had lots of babies.
